שיא במשך כתיבת שיר – 6 שנים! שישה כותבים ושלושה מפיקים נדרשו כדי להשלים אותו. בסופו של דבר זה השתלם: שר קיבלה את כל התמורה (מקום 1 בארה"ב, מקום 1 בבריטניה) בהפקתו המוסיקלית השתמשו בטכנולוגיות הקלטה שונות כדי ליצור שיר דאנס מקורי. פריצת הדרך בהפקה הייתה כאשר שילבו אפקט ווקאלי. תחילה דובר על שימוש ב – Vocoder (מסנן קול) אחר-כך התברר כי לצורך כך פותח שבב (מעבד) Auto-Tune processor.
השיר שעוסק בשיקום החיים אחרי כישלון יחסים, הזניק את שר (בשם המקורי: שרילין סרקיסיאן לה פייר) לפסגות, כשהיא בת 52. ב-1987 היא זכתה באוסקר על תפקידה בסרט "מוכת ירח"
