ג'יימס מרסר מלהקת Shins ובריאן ברטון (המוכר כדיינג'ר מאוז, Danger Mouse) משגרים מוצר פאנקי לאלבומם החדש הנושא את שם הסינגל – After The Disco, עקבות הסינגל הקודם Holding On for Life. מרסר שר על אי הודאות שלו בקשר לחיים בעולם הזה "I see the ashes on the ground/ Another world is burning down". מעניין איך אפשר לפזז לצלילי מסר כזה, אבל עובדה. המוסיקה מחזירה לשמונים, קצבית, מתקתקה, מלוטשת, אבל לא שיר גדול.
